On a whim, I bought a groupon for a cooking vacation in the interior of Mexico. Little did I know what a fantastic trip it would be!! 3 hours of cooking every morning, followed by a delicious lunch that we cooked. Afternoons were spent exploring ancient ruins and nearby towns. Then back to the hacienda for dinner and margaritas. The hacienda is gorgeous, with beautiful rooms and views of the volcanoes. And the cooking instruction is top notch and very authentic.
A fine dine/shopping experience in the heart of Puebla
Mesón Sacristía de la Compañía ain't no ordinary restaurant. Inside the courtyard of the XIX boutique hotel, you can taste one of the finest and richest traditional dishes in the city. Aside from the culinary experience by itself, the ambience is an eclectic mix of colonial and elegant decor. If you see an item you like on the courtyard, lobby or bar, you can buy it and take it home. This is what I call a one of a kind souvenir!
