The cloisters of a former Carmelite convent just off Mahón’s Plaça d’Espanya have been turned into market stalls. As you wander through, you’ll find out what kinds of produce come off the farms in the island’s countryside. But it’s not just fruits and vegetables here: Other vendors sell clothes, jewelry, ceramics and locally made shoes. And in summer, there’s live music and other entertainment in the central square.
