Fête du Citron
Every winter, sun starved Parisians put in their order for Menton lemons, and dream of attending the Fête du Citron, a three week long festival fêting the country’s beloved fruit and all things citrus. 10 meter high yellow and orange dotted sculptures tower above palm trees as they take over the sea-side town’s Biovès Gardens. There are parades of floats crusted with the golden fruits followed by sound and light shows after sunset. The Lemon Festival is the perfect opportunity to savor sweet treats like a lemon soufflé or candied citrus rinds. Gourmets won’t want to miss Michelin starred restaurant Mirazur’s Citrus Menu.
