The masjid here is gorgeous: marble, chandeliers, and full of a sense of light and air. It is one of the four mosques in Moscow and is open for salah from fajr to isha. Jummah prayers are offered on Fridays (depending on the season it changes, but usually around 12.30), and the women’s section is spacious as well (the top two balconies). The imam is usually around to talk, and people tend study and discuss Qur’an inside. There is a tiny shop inside as well if you’re in need of a gem-stone studded “Bismillah” or a copy of the Holy Qur’an. Also, remember everyone must take off their shoes (they have little plastic bags to put them in) and women must cover their hair (they have scarves if you need one).
