- Set on a sandy shore and shaded by 4,000 trees, including 1,800 coconut palms

The review: The Spanish Meliá brand’s first foray into southern Vietnam, this gracious resort opened in spring 2019. It sprawls along a beach, but also has over 10,000 square meters of lakes and other water features. High ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows bring a sense of spaciousness and celebration of natural beauty throughout the property.

The scale is grand here with three swimming pools, three restaurants, a beach club, swim-up bar, coffee shop, executive lounge, ballroom, conference facilities, gym, gift shop, kids club and spa with ten treatment rooms.

The 152 rooms start with the deluxe category, complete with a sea-view balcony, rain shower and kings beds or two twins. A myriad of options then climb up to 61 villas, most notably the four-bedroom beachfront model with a large terrace and a massive infinity swimming pool. The more premium rooms include access to The Level Lounge with tea, coffee, snacks, a private breakfast service and happy hour with cocktails and savory snacks. Other perks include a private pool and beach area, use of the spa’s sauna and steam bath and the possibility of a late 4pm check-out, when available. All rooms have a minimalist design and sophisticated neutral palette, allowing the splendid seascapes to take center stage.

Guests are spoilt for choice on the dining front. Standout moments include smoothies at the Elyxr Café, Asian street food in the casual Sasa and fresh seasonal fine dining in Muối.
