A jaunt to McD's in India sounds almost sacrilegious––almost. The thing is that it's actually a rather interesting experience.
In India, the fast food chain is considered to be kinda swanky and the prices are relatively high, meaning that the diners are a middle class bunch. Dining out at McD's is an excursion, not a last minute decision.
Menu items play to Indian palates, with items including the extravagant Chicken Maharaja–Mac and the McVeggie, complete with Indian spices. I mowed down on the Paneer Salsa Wrap (now the BigSpicy Paneer Wrap), which was mediocre at best––especially compared to the wealth of street food options jam-packed with flavour. However, McDonald's India definitely has the North American version beat.
