Something Hidden in Siem Reap
After a hot day viewing some of the many ruins comprising Angkor, what a cooling relief to walk through the MGC Asian Traditional Textiles Museum. Initiated by India, and the first of its kind in Cambodia
, the museum displays traditional and contemporary textiles of Cambodia, India, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand
, and Vietnam. Four small galleries provide an orientation to the Ganga and Mekong River cultures and their weaving processes and creations. Getting to the museum took a while as our guide was not familiar with its existence, but it is across the road from the building complex where tickets for Angkor are purchased.
