This summer, my parents took my younger brother and I to May Lake, a High Sierras camp in Yosemite. The weather was gorgeous, the company was fine, and our parents were completely disappointed in our lack of interest in diving into the lake. Ever ones to follow the rules, my brother and I refused to enter the forbidden water despite our parent's enthusiasm over the perfection of their own swimming experiences.
I guess when you were raised in an age of rebellion, you have to expect your kids to find SOME way at sticking it to you...even if it is by following the law.
All in all, an absolutely divine location, though perhaps not for those who tend to get altitude sickness. (Or are just plain lazy like us kids.
