There are a lot of hawker centers in Singapore, and to a novice, it's hard to distinguish one from the next. Maxwell has a large selection of vendors with long lines of people who look like regulars, so I think it's safe to say that this hawker center is pretty good. Out of the dozens of dishes served here, I was only able to try the Poopiah, Chicken Rice, and Char Kway Teow, and they all were amazing. I was shocked to find that something as simple as chicken and rice could be so flavorful. Most dishes come in small, medium, and large, and I learned (the hard way) that it's wise to always get a small so you have more room in your tummy to try as many other dishes as possible. Don't forget to go on an empty stomach!
