Good, fast, and reliable Wi-Fi. It's a must for me on my frequent business travels throughout the Caribbean; nowhere more so than in Haiti.
Telecommunications infrastructure here isn't as Stone Age as some might think, especially in and around the capital city of Port-au-Prince. Still, good, fast, and reliable Wi-Fi isn't guaranteed at many of the country's finest hotels.
The Marriott Port-au-Prince, though, is a very notable exception.
Haiti's newest and most modern hotel boats a dedicated fiber link for Internet that was recently upgraded from 35 Mbps to 50 Mbps (upload/download), plus a separate dedicated E1 line for VOIP.
Whether you're by the pool, at the bar, in the restaurant, the meeting space, or your room, you can expect to enjoy the very best Wi-Fi service in the country.
