If trekking the Annapurna Circuit stop for a day in the picturesque village of Marpha. Traditional Thak Khola architecture of white washed stacked stone buildings dominate the village. Visit the first Nyingma buddhist monastery in the area and find overnight lodging in one of the many guesthouses which offer hot water showers, a nice luxury from your trekking. Try the apple cider and apple juice at your guesthouse as Marpha is the apple capital of Nepal. Fresh apples available in autumn months. Frequent the many souvenir shops run by Tibetan refugees who live in the Tibetan refugee camp outside of town.
