Marché du Vieux-Port de Québec
Just to the north of Old Québec, on the Louise Basin marina, Québec City
's farmers' market showcases the best produce grown in the region—you can expect an abundance of apples and berries, in season at least. It's a good place to pick up gifts including maple syrup and candies, jams, dried blueberries, and typical Québecois food items, but also handcrafted soaps, jewelry, and ceramics. The market is indoors, so even if you are visiting Québec City on a wet or snowy day, you can still shop and snack. The market is open year-round, seven days a week, with a Christmas market (from the end of November to the end of December) keeping things lively even when there is less produce arriving from the area's farms.
