Marché de l'Île-Rousse
Marché de L'Île-Rousse
L'Île-Rousse’s market sits just off of the city's Pasquale Paoli square. Vendors can be found on the street and also in the market hall—which looks like a classical temple, or at least a converted civic building, with its colonnade of 21 pillars. (It was, in fact, built in 1850 as a market.) Locals and visitors alike show up for artisanal charcuterie and cheeses, olive oil, fish, fruits and the other fresh farm fare that Corsica produces in abundance.
