Marcella’s Denver
Inspired by and named after a Tuscan woman, the original Marcella’s opened in Columbus, Ohio, before branching out twice in that city and expanding to this
Denver location in September 2017. Marcella's has successfully imported a warm and comfortable atmosphere and lots of great Italian dishes to Denver's LoHi neighborhood. Starters, or antipasti, include a range of charcuterie and cheese options, and vegetable choices from warmed olives to a Sicilian caponata. For entrees, the kitchen serves ten types of pizza (including a sausage pie with a bit of a kick), classic pasta dishes, and specialties like a recommended Chianti-braised beef short rib. The signature favorite meatball—made from veal and beef that measures about the size of a grapefruit—is braised for four hours in fresh tomato sauce and is, as advertised, richly flavorful and tender.
