Savor traditional Galician dishes with an international spin at Mar de Ardora

Small plates and excellent service make Mar de Ardora an ideal place for a long, leisurely lunch in Gallicia's Costa da Morte region. Locally sourced seasonal produce, and expert preparation make even the simplest dishes--steak with roast peppers and potatoes, shine. Galicia is known for it's octopus, and Mar de Ardora has my favorite version of it--grilled tentacles topping a small mound of whipped potatoes with a drizzle of olive oil flavored with roasted-red pepper and spanish paprika.

After dinner or lunch, the restaurant has a cozy second floor lounge for coffee or drinks, and during the summer it has a beach-side terrace with live music.
