Hansel by Jo Soh is a great local brand with pretty and quirky fashion for ladies. Named for her pet dog, the store's past season themes have included inspiration from puffins, kueh lapis (a local dessert in rainbow hues), and robots. There's a sense of humor and wit to Hansel clothing.
A tad pricey if you're on a backpacker's budget (with most of the current season clothing going for S$170 - S$300+), even the cheaper diffusion line Hello Hansel ranges $70 to $150 per piece. Off-season sales, however, are definitely worth looking out for. If you're seeking great Singaporean design to bring home and can afford it, this is definitely a brand to find.
