Whether you're a tourist savvy enough to avoid Borough Market on a sunny Saturday, or a South Londoner feeling the repercussions of a big Friday, Maltby Street has the perfect treat for you.
Monmouth coffee, the only decent (amazing) grilled cheese I have ever had in London, salted caramel brownies, an oyster/ Bellini bar and Little Bird Gin bloody marys. Perfection.
The market takes place every Saturday and Sunday under the railway arches near Bermondsey station, home also to some of the most awesome and at times bizarre junk shops in town.
The market is a lot busier on a Saturday but it is still possible to get a seat inside or outside at peak times - failing this, the market spills out onto the streets behind, with customers pitching up with jars of cocktails and piles of food.
An exciting place to be in London (don't eat first).
