During a recent trip to Cuba, I was fortunate enough to stay a short walk from Havana's Malecón. The iconic esplanade and walkway begins in Old Havana, and runs along the water towards Vedado.
While I mingled with locals and learned more and more about Havana and the new government reforms, one fact always remained the same - talks and evening walks are always meant to take place at the Malecón. It's a meeting place for many locals, and serves as an evening date spot for the young and in love.
Sunsets are beautiful from the Malecón's viewpoint, serving as a perfect evening send off for an evening in Old Havana.
