High NotesC2 Montréal embraces creativity across genres and disciplines. It’s an event where everything from video games to opera are embraced. On Wednesday, May 27, conductor Kent Nagano and the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM) are presenting the first act of Die Walküre, the second of the four operas that make up Wagner’s Ring Cycle. Soprano Heidi Melton, who is frequently described as the next Kristen Flagstad or Brigit Nilsson, will be playing the role of Sieglinde while Torsten Kerl will be playing the role of Sigmund. Whether you are familiar with the Ring Cycle already or a novice, this is a night at the opera not to be missed.
When and Where: May 27, 8 pm at Maison symphonique de Montréal—Place des Arts, 1600 Saint-Urbain Street
