Northern Thai in the Heart of the Medina
Delicious as Morocco food is, unlike many countries it doesn’t vary much region-to-region, and if you spend any length of time here you’ll eat a whole lot of couscous and couscous. Perhaps more than you would like. So lovely little Maison Moi Anan is a welcome way to change things up a bit. Hailing from the north of Thailand Anan is a chef and fashion designer – you’ll find his exquisitely cut women’s jackets and dresses displayed on the ground floor – with a penchant for his mother’s Northern territories cooking. Expect hot, spicy and sour dishes honed from house-made fish sauce and brimming with punchy South East Asian flavors. Favorites among them being a velvety eggplant and prawn curry bathed in coconut milk, and a searingly hot chicken and chicken liver larb (a vibrant salad from Laos). Dinner only.
