In the southern Belgian region, you can find a very unusual museum; a museum that celebrated giants.
Like a few towns in the southern part of the country and also the northern part of France, giants have been around for centuries. Ath's giants come out to play at the end of August for the end of summer festival or "ducasse" as it is known locally.
If you can't make it there in August, you can always visit the giants and learn about ehir history at the town's Maison des Geants.
The Belgian town of Ath celebrates its giants with a museum or "house of giants" located a short distance from the main square.
Other than watching a couple of movies and learning about the history of these big guys, you will also enjoy the setting. The house is an old one that obviously belonged to somebody well off. The building is amazing and there are also some paintings still hanging and nice statues of the muses as you enter.
