Main Street

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Tortola’s little Main Street is a coveted slice of Road Town that offers the best shopping on the island. Although the BVI doesn’t offer much in the way of Duty Free, Main Street is packed with good deals on everything from English china to unique souvenirs. Start your morning with a proper English breakfast at Island Roots Café on Main (or opt for their local specials like ackee and saltfish with fried dumplings) in the original Customs House before spending the day perusing shops full of cultural artifacts, racks of beachwear and island-style dresses, or handmade paintings and jewelry.
