Main Street, Palestine

A History Lesson
The revived Main Street district extends from the courthouse square to the Depot Visitor Center, and includes 44 blocks lined with historic buildings, restaurants, antiques shops, boutiques, and even a restored Spanish colonial-style theater (once a movie palace, it's now a busy playhouse.) Any tour of Palestine should start at the Visitor Information Center, housed in a restored, 120-year-old railroad depot, where you can pick up a map to get your bearings.
