Prague's Least Favorite Spire
The Žižkov TV tower was built in the latter half of the 1980s. Locals have hated it since day one--though public resentment of the "Penis of Prague," as it's been called, seems to be waining a bit. There have been rumors that the Soviets built the tower to block out radio transmissions from the West. Today the futuristic tower is best for getting a sky-high view of the City of 100 Spires.
