Fort Worth's Artists' Enclave
This up-and-coming neighborhood, south of downtown, already had good bones thanks to historic architecture and an active artistic community. Now it’s really come alive, with thriving music venues and art galleries, as well as a slew of farm-focused neighborhood restaurants. Plan your visit around Arts Goggle, a bi-annual event when over 90 shops, galleries, and other artisan-owned venues throw open their doors and court patrons with small bites and live music. Over 300 artists—local and international—are represented in spaces such as the Themattix Art Gallery, featuring the work of Clif Mattix (seen here) and other regional artists. There’s also Hot Damn, a pop up gallery in a tamale restaurant that has pieces in mediums ranging from sculptures and ceramics to paintings and photography.
