One of the iconic structures in the Lower Peninsula of the Special Administrative Region of Macau is the Macau Tower. At 1,109 feet, it is the world's highest nighttime bungee jumping spot. Climb a little further (almost to the top) and you can even get a cup of coffee!
Thrill seekers come here also to walk on the outer rim on top of the tower, a narrow zone with no handrails at all. Thanks to the world's first overhead safety system, you can truly get high --safely. The skywalk was developed by the AJ Hackett, whose claim to fame was bungee jumping from the top of the Eiffel Tower in 1987. The Plaza area below the Tower is a peaceful spot to photograph the long and graceful Ponte de Sai Van bridge.
