Nature lovers and ski adventurers make the trek to this cozy 16-person lodge in the Lyngen Alps. Summit to Sea Waterskiing takes on a whole new meaning here. The lodge has its own boat to deliver guests to the surrounding mountains. Nordic Cuisine The kitchen bakes banana bread and cakes every day, while dinner is a three-course affair that showcases local reindeer, lamb, and salmon. Peak Season The downhill ski season usually runs from March to May, when the lodge offers weeklong tour packages. To see the Northern Lights, snowshoe or cross-country ski in December and January.
