All these are offered by the world's top notch luxury train, the Maharaja Express, run by IRCTC. Maharaja Express Train is voted “The World's Leading Luxury Train” five times without any gap from 2012-17.
The train was launched in 2010 and a joint venture was started by the IRCTC and Cox and Kings India Ltd to look after the functioning and management of the train. On 12th August,2011, the venture was terminated and and the responsibility was vested on IRCTC solely.
Five extremely exciting journey circuits were introduced in the year 2012, out of which two are short term comprising mainly of Delhi-Jaipur-Agra, termed as the Golden Triangle. The others are week long voyages.
There are five tour packages available for the year 2018-19.
The two short term packages of 4days/3 nights covering 859kms approx, known as Gems of India and Treasure of India range from 255990/- to 857730/- for single adult boarding.
The other three packages of 8days/7 nights known as The Indian Splendor, The Heritage of India and The Indian Panoramacover a distance of 3000 kms. A fare of 299880/- to 1575830/- is charged for single adult passenger depending upon the type of cabin one chooses.
The train never falls short of surprising it’s passengers with up to date modern amenities and diligently looks into each and every details needed for providing a smooth and gliding journey.

• Salons and Cabins
Spread over 14 passenger carriages, divided into 43 Cabins , the train in infused with facilities like individual climate control, attached bath, wi-fi, intercom, tv with satellite channels, electronic safe deposit box, underneath luggage hold, wardrobe and attendants for all time snack facilities.
The bathroom is equipped with toiletries, running hoy and cold water, towels etc.
The passenger salons are named after precious gemstones stones while the private ones are inspired by the erstwhile salons of the maharajas.
• Dinning and Lounge
Rang Mahal and Mayur Mahal serve the guests with mouth watering dishes from a variety cuisines from the authentic Indian, Chinese and Continental. The food is plated by top chefs cooked with fresh ingredients
The Safari Bar offers you with a variety of well stocked wind and spirits from round the world in settings of royal safari.
The Raja Club or Lounge Salons has laid back arm chairs and games table for relaxation and enjoyment.
Also there is a souvenirs shop where you can pick up mementos and artifacts. Other facilities include optional spas, telephone, laundry, Internet, butlers, paramedic etc. So you can see that for a royal experience you need not belong to a royal family or go to a palace.
