Lütschine RiverWith everything from roaring rapids to blissful river runs, Interlaken is rightly known throughout the Swiss Alps as rafting heaven. Lütschine River garners the greatest praise, with class III through IV rapids that plummet through the mountains and into the Interlaken Valley. For rookie riders, the river also offers a few easy runs that flow year-round thanks to a supply of fresh water from the surrounding glaciers. If you want to tackle the rapids, turn to Outdoor Interlaken, a professional outfitter that organizes trips for groups and families. Although rafting experience is not required, guests should have a good swimming ability.
