Luna Park Sydney

1 Olympic Dr, Milsons Point NSW 2061, Australia

Luna Park is one of the most iconic features of Sydney. The amusement park was first constructed in 1935 and been through much tragedy over the years, including the ‘ghost train fire’ in 1979, that killed six children and one adult. It’s worth a stroll through. You can still see a few of the original features and attractions, including a ‘rotor’ from 1951 (where riders get ‘stuck’ to the wall of the barrel due to centrifugal force, then the bottom drops out). The view onto from that side of the harbor is quite breathtaking. You can either take the ferry across from Circular Quay, or walk across the Harbour Bridge. http://www.lunaparksydney.com/ Join AFAR Experiences and discover the REAL Sydney–May 6-9, 2013: http://www.afarexperiences.com/
