Dig Out a Bargain in Lucca's Antique Market
If you happen to find yourself in Lucca on the third weekend of the month, you can’t fail to miss Tuscany’s second biggest antique market, a favorite with both vendors and visitors thanks to its setting among the town’s lovely old piazzas and quiet streets. You’ll find a huge variety of stalls selling everything from old embroidered linens and vintage dolls to World War I memorabilia and risqué postcards. The market is focused in the south part of the town with stalls set up in and around Piazza San Martino, Piazza San Giusto, and Piazza del Giglio.
