Lucca is a beautiful city in Tuscany, Italy that became a Roman colony in 180 BC. It was home to the famous composer Giacomo Puccini and has a magnificent 3-kilometre wall surrounding the borders of the old town center. There are parks and roads on top of the wall, and Rachael & I rode bicycles around it our first day there. It is on the Italian tourist route, so if you go there during high season, be prepared to deal with large crowds of shoppers on the streets.
