"Blueberry Hill" Fats Domino Home in Lower Ninth Ward New Orleans
This was once the home and recording studio of Fats Domino, an African American Rock 'n Roll / Rhythm and Blues singer and songwriter. He is best known for the song "Blueberry Hill". His home still stands today in the Lower Ninth Ward.
Few of the homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina still remain. Many new homes replace the lost ones with the $12 million donation by Brad Pitt. The new homes have solar panels and rain water recycling. The new home architecture is much different than traditional New Orleans homes.
