Tigertown's Favorite Greasy Spoon
If you're looking for a place to sober up over an omelette or to grab a quick lunch before an LSU football game, head straight over to Louie's Cafe. The 24 hour diner has been serving up Southern classics since 1941. Louie himself worked behind the counter for years before selling to Jimmy, the current owner, in 1977. He has followed the tradition and you'll see him cooking in his chef's hat. Saddle up to one of the 60 seats and order the famous Veggie Omelet with a side of the spicy Cajun hashbrowns. Buttermilk biscuits are only served between 6 and 11 am, so get them while they're hot, literally.
