Loop Head Drive and Lighthouse
Don’t tell anyone but we think there are the best cliffs to see in Ireland, with all types of unusual shapes and sea stacks, but rather than take a day trip here, you’ll want to spend a few days exploring the Loop Head Peninsula in the west of Ireland. The peninsula’s position with the Atlantic on one side and the River Shannon estuary on the other has led to some dramatic scenery and marine life sightings, all of which you can enjoy by bike or horseback riding. For things to do, there’s everything from traditional seaweed baths to a lighthouse to visit at the tip of the peninsula or download the heritage trail to discover gems like the rock bridge at the Bridges of Ross or the Pollock Holes in Kilkee.
