Long Beach has a flourishing art community with an established foundation based within the Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA). Come for the art exhibits. Come for the ambiance and view. Come for the special events. Claire’s Restaurant, located within the grounds, is named after the artist Claire Falkenstein, who designed the fountain sculpture, Structure and Flow, on the outdoor patio. This piece is said to represent her peak period of artistry. I recommend visiting the museum during late morning, before having lunch on the patio overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
