Stepping inside the tea room, you leave behind the rustle of trees overhead in Hong Kong Park and step into an escape from the bustle of the city. Though echoing with chatter and clinking cups, the space feels traditional with ornately carved woodwork. I didn't make a reservation but I luckily was given a seat. My favorite of the vegetarian dim sum was the jasmine dumplings filled with black sesame paste, served in a bowl of hot sweet tea. I purchased a rose white tea before leaving. Looking forward to savoring the memory at home.
