This quaint spot in Los Ranchos, New Mexico -- just 5 minutes west of Albuquerque -- boasts a vast farm and pasture just out the back door of the kitchen. When you pull off 4th st. into the parking lot, walk through the farm and spot the very fruits and veggies that will be served up once you go inside. Growing up near in the area made dining a bit of a challenge, however. Some of the cows I met and fed for fun while young were on the menu. But they lived long, happy, steroid-free lives.
