Little Tokyo is small in scale, but rich in a charm you won't find in any of Metro Manila's malls. Entered via symbolic red bridges and neat, bonsai- and greenery-lined alleyways from either side of the Makati block that surrounds it, Little Tokyo is simply a cluster of Japanese restaurants sharing a common courtyard. Rain-protected and gaily lit, the courtyard gives a sense of the outdoors and the exotic when the hot climate allows it. The food is, of course, good. Authentic. The place frequented by table upon table of the ultimate endorsers: Japanese diners.
