Liseberg
Since it opened in 1923, Liseberg has grown into one of Sweden’s most popular tourist attractions, with around 3 million visitors a year. There are 30 or so rides, many of them for younger children. One of the most famous attractions is a wooden roller coaster called Balder that’s regularly ranked as one of the world’s best by theme-park aficionados. This is no antiquated bone-rattler, however, but rather a feat of engineering that was constructed in 2003 from laser-cut pieces of wood.
