Worth visiting, even if you don't like theme parks

Even if you don’t like roundabouts and roller coasters, the amusement park Liseberg is a must when in Gothenburg. The park opened in 1923, and has been the social hub for the people of Gothenburg since then. They go to enjoy the beautiful flower arrangements, dance to old time live music at Polketten, listen to new artists playing the large stage, or, of course, to enjoy a ride or two. Don’t rush the visit. During busy periods the lines can be long to the most popular rides. Gothenburg parents know this can be an expensive day, with ride tickets, raffles, and all the meals. So they bring a picnic. Liseberg is open during the summer season, as well as at Halloween and before Christmas.
