Redwood camping with a beach bonus
Limekiln State Park is easily one of the most coveted camping spots on the Big Sure coast of California. With limited campsites, reservations are a must (mid-week is a good bet). Once you're there, you can choose between camping under the redwoods, creekside or beachfront. All three are equally enticing, but we choose to sleep next to the built-in creek sleep machine. Ahh. Still, the beach is within walking distance, or stroll into the redwoods on an easy hike to waterfalls.
