L’Hôtel d’Haussonville
When visiting Nancy, you could simply look at art nouveau architecture—or you could stay in it. Just a few minutes’ walk from the Nancy Cathedral, L’Hôtel d’Haussonville is housed in a Renaissance mansion from 1528. Here, you’ll find seven spacious rooms, each of which has been elegantly restored, as well as a dazzling stone spiral staircase (which you’ll get to know very well, as the hotel doesn’t have an elevator). A lovely garden and art nouveau decor are bonuses but, ultimately, L’Hôtel d’Haussonville is all about location.
