Relaxing at a spa after an arduous day skiing might seem like an adult activity. Well, in Leukerbad, the largest spa resort in the Alps, soothing thermal waters are designed for children too. At Leukerbad Therme (formally the Burgerbad) mum and dad can sip champagne during a breakfast plunge while kids whizz down the animal-shaped slides or play in the less-intense heated thermal waters. Themed pools, some located outside with spectacular mountainous views, provide fun for the whole family. The baths open from 8am to 8pm and cost $28 for an adult day pass. Children under 8 can swim for free.
