Lesser Antilles

St Martin an unexpected pleasure
I had some air miles that were due to expire really didn't want to go to the Caribbean but St Marten was the only available place given my time constraint. It was quite lovely and I am so glad that I went. Nice people, two countries in one and glorious beaches. Also fabulous food particularly on the French side.

One of the most beautiful places I have EVER seen!
I had the pleasure of visiting Isles des Saintes (which is politically a dependency of Guadeloupe - and of France). It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! I sailed there on the Star Clipper - a 5 masted sailing ship - and that is an awesome way to arrive! But hiking the hills and enjoying the locals was the most fun. I will definitely return some day.

Shoal Bay, Anguilla
While Anguilla's famous Shoal Bay has noticed more visitors and more crowded beaches, the white sands and turquoise waters are still a gorgeous sight.

The East End is faaaaar away for those of us living on the West End (a whopping 12 miles or so) so we rarely get down there. When we make the trek, we pop in the water for some snorkeling or catch some live music on the beach.
