It’s an invigorating 15 minute hike up the hill, from the river towards Château-Gaillard, the castle that Richard The Lion Heart built between 1196 and 1198. If you don’t have time to make your way all the way up to the ruins, there’s a look-out just below. It’s worth the effort, the views take your breath away.
