Sleep and eat in a restored 17th century home in Umbria
Le Tre Vaselle in Torgiano is restored 17th residence---the rooms are outfitted with traditional furniture and both the room I stayed in, and a second room the staff were kind enough to show me were spacious--bigger than many of the apartments I've lived in over the years.
The food at the restaurant is amazing and not to be missed. When I was there they had stuffed squash blossoms and a creamy portabella mushroom sauce prepared with fresh mushrooms they brought out in a basket to convince restaurant patrons about their menu selections.
