Le Bar Raymond
Le Raymond Bar,
Zurich for a city that sits on a lake and is trisected by two rivers and a moat, there’s a surprising dearth of casual waterfront bars, cafes and restaurants in Zurich. Newcomer Le Raymond bar, is a cafe and bar, that overlooks the city’s moat, called the Schanzengraben, and located right around the corner from the 1%er HQ of Paradeplatz. Despite the neighborhood, the bar remains surprisingly chic and cool. It’s vaulted ceiling, elongated bar and cozy but modernist wooden alcoves reminiscent of American diners, give guests a little privacy to sip their Hugos and espressos in peace. A outdoor terrace overlooking the water, fills in the afternoons and evenings, is a great place for people watching. There’s also a limited food menu of meat pies, salads, and soups.
