At the end of a fun bike tour through foggy, and sleepy Rouen on a Sunday, we happened upon the farmer's market. Right in the midst of it, an oyster bar caught our eyes.
Having worked up quite the appetite pedaling around town, we plunked down to order oysters (Utah Beach); more oysters (Saint Vaast), wines (minerally, local-ish), and cheese (Camembert), and more cheese (Neufchâtel, Livarot and Pont L'Eveque). You get the idea. It's quite impressive that I remember most of it, considering the amount of wine involved. It was the most delicious, fun and authentic lunch of our trip...followed (not surprisingly) by a 3 hour nap later that afternoon.
>>>Warm thanks to my lovely friends at AmaWaterways for an unforgettable river cruise on the Seine from Paris to Normandy. AmaWaterways offers bicycle excursion in many of their ports, in fact they were the first to bring along a fleet of bicycles for their guests to use.
