The Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon, which attracts thousands of runners from around the United States and beyond, is held annually every fall or winter.
The event only recently became a Rock 'n' Roll Marathon, and when it did, it got a lot more interesting. Las Vegas Boulevard is completely shut down for the course and racers run down the Strip after dark when all the neon lights are on. Live musical entertainment is located frequently on the course and, since this is Vegas, there is no shortage of runners dressed as Elvis to add a bit of Vegas flair into the fun.
